Insurance Estimates

Looking for Insurance Estimates because your insurance company asked you to provide 3 estimates?

Be careful what you do upon your insurance company asking for 3 insurance estimates.  Most homeowners and business owners simply call in 3 contractors, get 3 estimates and submit them to the insurance company in hopes of a quick and easy claim settlement.  This does NOT benefit the insured and I am yet to see an insurance policy that states this a ‘duty after the loss’.  If your estimates come in low, they may get paid but if they are higher than the insurance company wants to pay they will simply not pay it for one reason or another.

The truth is that Insurance Estimates are much different than the typical Estimate that you would receive from a contractor.  The main difference is that contractors are typically not familiar with what is and is not covered in the policy and they will typically write an estimate that will repair damages but not always indemnify you as the insured.  Utilizing experience and training working for both the Insurance Companies and Numerous Insureds, we know how to compile a detailed estimate of damages based on your policy.

We were originally trained to prepare estimates by the big insurance companies, we know what they are looking for.  Based on our expertise in this are our firm is often retained by Attorneys, Contractors and Property Owners to compile a detailed Property Damage Valuation Estimates.  We prepare our estimates utilizing tools familiar to the insurance companies, we speak the same language
